Elm Park was a upmarket 100,000m2 mixed used project consisting of a private hospital, hotel, office, apartments and housing for senior citizens, alsong with cafes and sanwich bars, all provided in a richly lanscaped park.
The entire project includes a combined heat and power gneration system fuelled by woodchip biomass. Electricity is generated onsite and hot water supplied to apartments as a by-proudct and all the buildings utilise their orientation to maximise wind-driven ventilation and to benefit from solar energy.
Our work entailed erecting independent scaffold and heavy duty loading bays to the building perimeter for cladding and glazing works. As well as this heavy duty support scafolds were erected for couryard canopies for use by subcontractor Permasteelista and a unit beam bridged birdcage was erected to the swimming pool.
Internal works consisted of erecting independent scaffold to the atrium, along with a goods only hoist, further to this internal lift shaft scaffolds were erected and riser scaffolds and handrails to leading edge perimiters.
