Evolutionary 'Missing Link' discovered by Brogan Group
Brogan
Group undertook the complex access requirements for the Natural History
Museum's recent Darwin Centre 2 Project for the principal contractor,
HBG Construction.
The
design of this £78 million research centre was carried out by the
Danish firm, C.F.Møller Architects. This new cocoon shaped wing will
house the 20 million plant and animal specimens currently held by the
museum curators.
The
scope of supply incorporated a fully boarded Cuplok independent
scaffold, which was cantilevered and bridged to follow the eight-storey
building's cocoon shaped contours, which is the largest structure of
its type in the UK.
