One Lothbury occupies one of the City’s most prominent locations, approximately 125 metres from Bank station, the City’s best served Underground interchange, and directly opposite the Bank of England.

The building - incorporating a retained façade in Portland stone - is arranged over ground plus nine upper floors, with two further floors below ground. The entrance - adjacent to the Tivoli Corner of the Bank of England – leads to a double height reception. The stone façades are surmounted by a glazed top floor addition, with panoramic views over the City. The lower ground floor contains ancillary office and ancillary spaces with the basement being dedicated toplant space.

In addition to scaffolding access, Brogan Group supplied and installed a Scanclimber SC2032 hoist on behalf of main contractor Galliford Try. This passenger / goods hoists will take up to 2000 kg or 24 passengers and is capable of climbing 36 metres per minute.

The new 117,500 sq ft office development has been designed to the highest specification to accommmodate the capabilities demanded by todays City occupiers.

The building will achieve a ‘Very Good’ BREEAM rating as minimum standard, with an energy target of 250kWh/m2. The development is due to be completed to a category A specification by August 2009.
