Brogan are currently working on the access package for Totenham Court Road, the project involves refurbishment work on a former grand retail and office building dating back to 1905.
Costain have been commisssioned by the Corporation of London as main contractor for the redevelopment of the site into a prestigious retail and office complex.
Our work consited of erecting heavy duty pavement bridged gantry scaffolds and heavy duty extra wide scaffolding to support the retained building facade while the remainder of the building was demolished internally.
Following this independent scaffold was then erected for rebuilding of the rear facade and internal floors. Heavy duty support scaffold and a lifting beam was also erected for lowering materials into the basement.
Internal works consisted of erecting brickwork scaffolds, liftshafts, leading edge on handrails and a large internal birdcage scaffold for glulam roof works.
Once the refurbishment is complete there will be a six storey extension of 2307sqm to form additional office space of 2899sqm, eleven flats and further retail space, together with communal space of 242sqm. Costain | Scaffolding | Temporary Roofs | |
