The development will comprise of the refurbishment of the existing building and the construction of a new office building to accommodate the union’s staff, including a glass atrium.
Scaffold is currently being erected to the perimeter of the existing retained building, to all 4 elevations with a temporary roof to be erected across the building in moveable sections for materials to be craned into the building.
A scaffold screen was previously erected to the north elevation of the site, with acoustic panels fitted to minimise noise to the adjacent school building.
The new development will see the Victorian, Grade II listed building sensitively restored. Two new office buildings of approximately 6.950 sq m with a glass atrium linking and enclosing the central space between the new buildinga nd the origional Victorian building. Forty Seven apartments providing both affordoable accomodation and private accommodation.
